Advantages of ERGON door

Compared to a leaf door:

Leaf door

Ergon door

  • Binding opening to the right or to the left with relevant space occupied around the moving leaf.
  • NON-binding opening to the right or to the left, with the relevant space occupied around the moving leaf cut almost by half.
  • Compulsory adjustment of the rooms (halls, corridors, etc.) involved by the movement of the leaf in order to obtain all around the space required for such a movement.
  • About a 50% reduction of the space occupied by the moving leaf that allows users to recover usable spaces compared to the room occupied by the moving leaf.
  • Objective difficulty for handicapped people on wheelchairs during opening and/or closing operations of the door.
(Opening the door by pulling the leaf and closing the door with the leaf that opens on to the opposite side).
  • Handicapped people can easily push the leaf both to enter and to exit the same room.
Thanks to the reduced-radius movement of the leaf they can pull it, always maintaining their frontal position.

Solution with standard doors: please note the difficult movements a disabled person on a wheelchair has to make.

The space you can save with Ergon doors is evident: the access to the different rooms and any type of movement are much easier.

Compared to a sliding door:

Outside sliding door

Ergon door

  • The entrance to the room must be placed in such a way to have a wall long enough to enable the leaf to slide.
The wall must be free from any bulky object, having as a consequence a lost of space.
  • Inexistent problem.
  • Not advisable, or even not allowed, in rooms where door and window frames with panic systems are required.
  • Advisable in rooms where door and window frames with panic systems are required thanks to its double-swing push system.
  • Objective difficulty for handicapped people on wheelchairs during opening and/or closing operations of the door, because they have to pull the leaf lengthwise from their frontal position.
  • Inexistent problem.

Sliding retractable door (inside the wall)
